Sweet and Sour Chicken

Ingredients

Chicken Marinade

250g Boneless Chicken (cubed)

2tsp White pepper

1tsp Salt

2tbs Corn Flour

20g Egg White

Sweet & Sour Sauce

3tbs Tomato ketchup

2tbs Chili Sauce

2tsp Plum Sauce

1tsp Worcestershire Sauce

1tsp Vinegar

1tsp Oyster Sauce

1tsp Lime Juice

2tbs Orange Cordial

1tbs Sugar

½ tbs Corn Flour

Sauce Condiments
2 cloves Garlic (chopped)

½ Green Capsicum (diced)

½ Red Capsicum (diced)

1 nos Small Tomato (wedges)

20g Scallions (sliced)

1tsp Sesame Seed

Method

Deep Frying the Chicken

Cut the chicken meat into cubes then marinate it with the pepper, egg, salt and corn flour. Leave it to marinate for about 15-20 minutes before deep frying.

Making the sauce

Mix in all the ingredients and bring up to boil. Put the corn flour in a bowl and add 1tbs water to dilute and add it in the sauce and mix it till it thickens.

Sweet and Sour Chicken

Heat up oil in a pan on medium heat. Fry the garlic till golden brown.

Add in the capsicum and stir fry till its fragrant. Pour in the sweet and sour sauce

and bring it to boil.

Finally add in the chicken and tomato and mix it well. Transfer it to a bowl and sprinkle the scallions and sesame seeds before serving.
